Admissions Requirements
Applicants must be 18 years of age to apply and be admitted.
Applicants must take a reading comprehension and math assessment test prior to course enrollment. Passing score of 70% or higher required.
Applicants must be either attending high school, possesses a high school equivalency certificate, or is a high school graduate
Fundamental of Medical Assisting
This course provides a focus on clinical procedures and practices. Throughout the course, students will learn about the responsibilities and duties of medical assistants, as well as the anatomy and physiology of the human body and the importance of maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. Students will also become familiar with the procedures and techniques used in a clinical setting, including vital signs measurement, phlebotomy, sterilization and infection control, and basic laboratory procedures. By the end of this course, students will have a thorough understanding of the fundamentals of medical assisting and the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in a clinical setting.
Fundamentals of Medical Specialties
This course is designed to provide students with an overview of the various medical specialties and subspecialties within the field of medicine. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, and case studies, students will gain a deeper understanding of the unique characteristics and responsibilities of each specialty, as well as the opportunities and challenges they present.
